Changing Room Policy

We are proud to be a Swim England Swim School Member and as such we follow their Changing Room Policy.

Please note and follow the following Swim England Changing Room Policy:

“Parents should not be in the changing room while their swimmers are changing, unless the swimmer is of an age where help is required from parents, or the swimmer requires additional specific assistance. This is generally at an age that is stipulated by the pool hirer, usually seven or eight years of age. In such circumstances, the parent must be the same gender as the child, unless the facility has family changing facilities or is a mixed changing village.”

At Swim2Swim we are aware that this may not always be feasible and often there are mums that bring their sons and dads that bring their daughters. Often children younger than eight can change themselves, especially if they have easy clothes to put on after the session, but for those that need assistance our policy is that the sex of the changing parent/adult that is helping should determine which changing room is used.

i.e. A mum helping her son should be using the female changing rooms and a dad helping their daughter should be using the male changing room.

Please be aware that all the pools we use have separate changing rooms for male and female. They also have an accessible toilet or an additional toilet/room that can be used for changing if required.

Please do not get changed on poolside or in the viewing rooms.

Although we have exclusive use of the facilities at most pools, the You Fit Health Club changing facilities are also used by club members.
